Our Mission

Our priority is with the well-being and development of the child. This is achieved through creating real life experiences for children in a safe and friendly environment, allowing children to be inquisitive and become independent learners.

We aim to create the transition from home to nursery smooth and natural. Thereby creating a relaxed, safe, enjoyable and comfortable forum for learning.

We take children aged 3 months to 12 years and now cater for breakfast club and after school club too, providing flexible care options for busy families.

Play-Based Curriculum

EYFS Aligned approach to early years education

At our nursery, we provide a carefully planned, play-based curriculum that supports all children to become confident, curious, and independent learners. Our approach is rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and recognises that young children learn best through meaningful play, exploration, and positive relationships.

We aim to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. Our curriculum is designed to build strong foundations across all areas of learning, with a particular focus on the three prime areas: communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and physical development, which underpin all future learning.

Learning is delivered through a balance of child-initiated and adult-guided play. Practitioners carefully observe children's interests and development, using this knowledge to plan engaging experiences that promote curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving. Adults act as facilitators, modelling language, extending thinking, and supporting children to deepen their learning through sustained shared interactions.

Our curriculum supports children to:

  • Develop strong relationships and learn to regulate their emotions
  • Communicate confidently and express their ideas
  • Explore, investigate, and make sense of the world around them
  • Build independence in self-care and everyday routines
  • Follow simple instructions and begin to follow simple recipes
  • Develop practical life skills, including preparing simple foods safely
  • Engage in imaginative and cooperative play
  • Develop early mathematical understanding through practical experiences
  • Express themselves creatively through art, music, and movement

Children are provided with rich first-hand experiences that support their understanding of the world. They observe caterpillars and learn about life cycles through real-life observation. All children have opportunities to care for and interact with living things in our nursery environment.

We also recognise the importance of inclusion, cultural celebration, and wellbeing. Children take part in activities that reflect diverse backgrounds, and we work closely with families to ensure each child feels a sense of belonging and pride in who they are.
